Australian Army Training Team Arrives In Vietnam

The Australian Army Training Team Vietnam (AATTV) of 30 jungle warfare specialists arrives in South Vietnam. This team primarily works with South Vietnamese Army personnel, Montagnards, and other local forces. As a result of this role, AATTV personnel are spread out in many provinces in South Vietnam. Its numbers grow throughout the war, peaking at 217 in 1970.1
