South Korea Sends a Noncombat Unit to Vietnam

The Republic of Korea Military Assistance Group, Vietnam, also known as Dove Unit, begins to arrive in Vietnam. It is based in Bien Hoa Province. South Korea’s Dove Unit includes a noncombat force of about 2,400 men comprising a construction support group, marine corps engineer company, army security company, and navy amphibious unit.1
