Honoring a Special Veteran - Durell Langley

Description:	Our chapter welcomed four new members, all daughters and granddaughters of Durell Langley, a highly decorated Vietnam Veteran who is terminally ill. To honor their father, we planned a program to honor him with a certificate of appreciation for his service, a veterans cap, and a Vietnam 50th Anniversary Commemorative medal - with his daughters/granddaughters presenting the awards. We also had the opportunity to honor 3 more Vietnam veterans who came to honor Durell and 3 non Vietnam veterans - one of whom was Durell's son. The program brought tears to all in attendance. We had a time for refreshments and visiting during which every DAR member personally thanked every veteran there.
