AOWCGWA is a group of extraordinary and diverse group of spouses living in the greater Washington DC Metropolitan Area. The Army Officers' Wives' Club of the Greater Washington Area (AOWCGWA) offers it's members friendship, social interaction, volunteer opportunities that make a difference through scholarships and community grants. In existence since 1974, AOWCGWA meets on a monthly basis at the Joint Base Myer Henderson Hall Officers' Club, Fort Myer, Virginia. Our monthly luncheons are held September through May, on the third Thursday of each month. Pre-paid reservations are required. Come on, get out of the house and meet some new people that you will soon call friends! We are a social and charitable group dedicated to giving back to our military family and local communities while building life long friendships. Whether you choose to go to a show, a museum, run along the canal, or go to a ball game with your children, the Greater Metropolitan Area offers a very unique military community and a wide range of fascinating activites. Our club activities facilitate friendship and support, ranging from opportunities to volunteer, engage in special activities, Zip Code group events, go on tours, attend events with our International members and much more.
