New York National Guard is proud to support the upcoming event to reopen the Vietnam War Memorial Gallery for the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War.

Celebrate the service and sacrifice of America’s Vietnam Veterans. Pigeon Forge and the Theaters of the Smokies produce a star-studded event offering thanks to the Veterans of the Vietnam War. Featuring a huge "Welcome Home Vietnam Parade," a Tennessee Celebrity Concert, the Marine Corp Marching Band and live music shows with patriotic tributes. To add authenticity to the celebration, "Mister Good Morning Vietnam" himself, Adrian Cronauer will officiate the parade and entertain with tales of his celebrated service. Come cheer for our troops and show them your gratitude. All Vietnam Veterans, families and friends are welcome.

Reopening of the New York State Vietnam Memorial Gallery in the Robert Abrams Building for Law and Justice. The gallery, which has been closed since 2009, was reopened in conjunction with the state partnership with the commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War. The exhibition is titled Welcome Home, The 50-Year Commemoration of the Vietnam War, 1962-1975.

National Geographic is sending their paperwork in to become a commemorative partner (they said they sent it in Monday) and would like to announce their partnership and display the Vietnam War Commemoration flag presentation at the screening on April 15.
They are not yet sure if they would do this before the screening or at the after screening reception.

They have set aside 35 seats for the Vietnam War Commemoration to attend the April 15 National Geographic film screening of “Locked Up Abroad” along with POWs, Senator John McCain and Ernie Brace.

National Geographic has invited national VSO leadership and Senator McCain’s office has also given them their guest list.
