Please join us for our annual Memorial Day ceremony at the Memorial. The Vietnam Era Museum will be open to the public.

Memorial Day activities starting at Post 409. Starting at 0700 the Sons of Legion will be providing a free breakfast for all Veterans. There will be a small fee for all non-Veterans. At 0900 the AMVETS Riders 409 will have a Bike Blessing. At 0915 Gowanda Harley will lead us to Spraguebrook for the Memorial Day Services.

Storytelling: In Their Own Words- Multiple speakers will present their stories in 30 minute blocks. There will be a break between 12 Pm and 2 PM for Ceremonies at the Wall.

Memorial Day Welcome Invocation Vietnam War Veterans Tribute Dedication & Remembrance Laying of the Wreath, etc. The Red, White and Blue Balloons signify the remembrance of all who are giving of their time in securing our Nation and Freedom Remembering all who are giving of their time but, are Prisoners of War, or Missing in Action, we release the Black Balloon. Breakfast will be served immediately follow.

24 hour event to honor and support our troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan, our Veterans, our Wounded Warriors, our Gold Star Heroes and their families. During this 24 hour event we will hold a donation drive to collect items for care packages and monetary donations to help with the cost of shipping. Our goal is to fill a 18’ truck with supplies and raise $18,000. You can help by holding a donation drive at your school, work, church, civic organization, sports teams, Boy/Girl Scouts. Present your donations at Troops in the Spotlight or fund raise then shop at Kmart, care package items will be on display in the front of the store.

Memorial Day parade and concert honoring Veterans and their families; Gold Star Families, etc. The event is free and open to the public in the town-owned public amphitheater, and will be publicized as the Town Memorial Day Ceremony with special tribute to Vietnam Veterans and Vietnam Gold Star Families.

AMVETS Post 409 (CPP member) will host an annual Veteran's breakfast and motorcycle ride on Memorial Day. The event starts at 0700 for the breakfast at the AMVETS Post and will depart the post at 0915 for the bike ride to Spraguebrook for the Memorial Day services.

VFW post 2886 will be hosting an event at the Washington State Memorial Cemetery to honor the 50th Anniversary start of the Vietnam War. There will be around 300 attendees to include all Veterans and the families of local fallen Veterans.

VVA National will have a outreach tent on the National Mall during the Memorial Day Parade. Since their program focus is Vietnam Veterans and their families, they would like to pass out CPP Materials.

American Legion Post 108 Annual event at Clear Lake, WI Veteran Memorial. Gathering of all local veterans and families to honor the fallen.
