The purpose of the 185th RTI Dine Out event will be to honor the service and sacrifice of Iowa Vietnam War Veterans. All proceeds will be donated to the Gold Star Museum for the development and support of Vietnam War exhibits. This event will have several Iowa Vietnam War Veterans in attendance. It will include displays of Vietnam War era equipment and will play oral histories from Vietnam War veterans throughout Iowa. The keynote speaker for this event will be LTG(R) Roger Schultz, an Iowa Military Academy graduate, a Vietnam War Veteran and former Chief of the National Guard Bureau. We will also pay tribute to all those who have served and who have not come home with the presence of a POW/MIA table. We do hope that the Vietnam War Commemoration will publish this event in their newsletter. I am aware that we are inside of the 90 day deadline and apologize for the later request. The publishing of our event in your newletter is our main request. If you have any questions please feel free to contact the point of contact for this registration: Officer Candidate Shawn Monroe, monroes@waterloopolice.com, 319-239-4416. Thank you, OC Monroe
