Dedicate State Memorial that honors Vietnam Veterans and their Families http://buildthemonument.org/

To thank and honor Vietnam Veterans with 5 days worth of events.

The 3rd Annual Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans celebration will be held on March 29th at the Madison County Veterans Memorial in downtown Huntsville, AL. An estimated 900 people will be attend the event which includes the Army Material Command Band, Alabama Patriot Riders, Laying of the Wreath, Posting of the Colors, taps, patriotic music and speeches by area dignitaries and local leaders. To thank and honor our Alabama Vietnam Veterans.

Children from several school districts will participate in the Art Contest on "Thanking a Vietnam Vet". We will be contacting local veterans organizations and ask that Vietnam Vets help judge the contests and share the art with their families and friends.

There will be a parade and flag raising to honor Vietnam Veterans Day.

Objective-1: To thank and honor veterans of the Vietnam War, including personnel who were held as prisoners of war (POW), or listed as missing in action (MIA), for their service and sacrifice on behalf of the United States and to thank and honor the families of these veterans.
