PURPOSE: To thank and honor Vietnam Veterans, but specifically to honor Harry Kenneth Vaughan 9born March 14, 1947), grew up in the Hopewell Community, now part of Milton. After attending Milton HS he was drafted to serve in Vietnam. Served in Infantry-Company A, 2nd Battalion, 47th Infantry Regiment, 9th Infantry Division. He was killed in action March 7, 1968 when his amored personal carrier hit a buried explosive device made from a 500 lb bomb.

Samuel Johnston Chapter Members are encouraged to knit and crochet warm scarves for the annual "Knit Your Bit" campaign that is sponsored by the National WW 2 Museum in New Orleans. Chapter members donated 24 hand-made scarves which are given to elderly and hospitalized veterans in VA facilities nationwide. Many are veterans of the Vietnam War. This is a year-round project for several of our Chapter members.

Thanked and honored Vietnam veterans in Grafton, VT by presenting them with Certificates and pins.

Helping to gather pictures of Vietnam Veterans whose names are on The Wall from the Winnebago County area that will be contributing to the Wall of Faces Project.

Thank and honor the spouses of the fallen from the Vietnam War.
