Air Show and Vietnam Educational Displays

Traveling Wall and Vietnam Memorabilia Display will be main attraction and provide a great opportunity to honor Vietnam War Veterans.

There are several events. We are bringing the AV Vietnam Memorial Wall to display with navy flyovers, Hugs For heroes, and gifts to give to each Veteran.with the VA counseling support. We are hosting a Date night dinner/dance as a fundraiser for local Veteran groups, including a Vietnam Veterans education and training center, and we are hosting a luncheon for our local Veterans , as we have for 9 years running, honoring a local hero, Gene Hostetler, US Navy, Vietnam 1966-68, as well as all Vietnam era Veterans.

Annual Alabama State Convention of the Military Order of the Purple Heart held 2 May 2014 and 3 May 2014

Samuel Johnston Chapter Members are encouraged to knit and crochet warm scarves for the annual "Knit Your Bit" campaign that is sponsored by the National WW 2 Museum in New Orleans. Chapter members donated 24 hand-made scarves which are given to elderly and hospitalized veterans in VA facilities nationwide. Many are veterans of the Vietnam War. This is a year-round project for several of our Chapter members.

Thanked and honored Vietnam veterans in Grafton, VT by presenting them with Certificates and pins.

Helping to gather pictures of Vietnam Veterans whose names are on The Wall from the Winnebago County area that will be contributing to the Wall of Faces Project.
