Events

The mission of these events is to reach out to Vietnam Veterans and bring them in to discuss Agent Orange and ways the Veterans Services can support these veterans.

US Army and Air Force veterans who supported the Vietnamese Airborne Division, Vietnamese veterans of the Division and the families of veterans will all be recognized for their service in speeches and with the presentation of certain awards.

To honor our Vietnam Veterans and families by giving them access to the Vietnam Memorial the reading of the 1305 names on the Wall form Virginia.

Annual Alabama State Convention of the Military Order of the Purple Heart held 2 May 2014 and 3 May 2014

This event is part of our organizations Hazardous Materials Conference plenary session. The President of our organization will discuss the program, and explain its purpose.

Samuel Johnston Chapter Members are encouraged to knit and crochet warm scarves for the annual "Knit Your Bit" campaign that is sponsored by the National WW 2 Museum in New Orleans. Chapter members donated 24 hand-made scarves which are given to elderly and hospitalized veterans in VA facilities nationwide. Many are veterans of the Vietnam War. This is a year-round project for several of our Chapter members.

Thanked and honored Vietnam veterans in Grafton, VT by presenting them with Certificates and pins.

The Service for the Veterans Committee Chairman will be traveling across Illinois to spread the word about the Commemorative Partner Program. He will also be thanking and honoring Vietnam Veterans and their families.

Helping to gather pictures of Vietnam Veterans whose names are on The Wall from the Winnebago County area that will be contributing to the Wall of Faces Project.
