The Vietnam Veterans Commemorative Trail is located in Price County and has 13 markers to represent the 13 years of service and sacrifice of the brothers and sisters in arms. The markers denote events of the war that were deemed important by Vietnam Veterans. The trail is a commemorative project to remind the public of the sacrifices made by this group of unheralded veterans.

To provide supplies to the Commemorative Partners in the State of Michigan. Many of our chapters find it difficult to use the website. So many times they come to me looking for supplies. I show them how to work the website to order the supplies, but generally to late to get the supplies in, so they borrow from me.

We are showcasing the Commemorative flag and program materials that we framed, along with an Army uniform and a vest representing Forgotten Eagles of Michigan, Chapter 2. Two brothers are showcased in the Historical area of the County Bldg, along with the medals each earned and the coffin flag of the brother who gave his life in 1968 in Vietnam. The other brother served in Vietnam 1971-72. The remaining brother gives of his time and energy to help Veterans in many ways in the surrounding area. Our purpose for showcasing these items is to bring awareness to citizens in our county of those who have served and the sacrifices made by the military during Vietnam and their families. Another objective is to bring awareness to the surrounding community of the DAR and our past and continued support of Veterans.

Samuel Johnston Chapter Members are encouraged to knit and crochet warm scarves for the annual "Knit Your Bit" campaign that is sponsored by the National WW 2 Museum in New Orleans. Chapter members donated 24 hand-made scarves which are given to elderly and hospitalized veterans in VA facilities nationwide. Many are veterans of the Vietnam War. This is a year-round project for several of our Chapter members.

Members and visitors of the congregation were canvassed to identify veterans who served in Vietnam. There was 15 total. During the exhibit, a Kiosk was used that exhibited the presidential proclamation, flag, certificate, as well as two medals.
