Dr. Lawrence Climo, a retired psychiatrist from Andover, MA served in Vietnam from 1966-1967 as an Army doctor in the Military Provincial Hospital Augmentation Program, a State Department sponsored counterinsurgency program. He will talk about his unique and problematic wartime mission as an Army doctor working in the Vietnamese Health Service treating civilians, including the occasional soldier, North Vietnamese or Vietcong, who came to him for illnesses, not war wounds.
