The Vietnam Veterans Commemorative Trail is located in Price County and has 13 markers to represent the 13 years of service and sacrifice of the brothers and sisters in arms. The markers denote events of the war that were deemed important by Vietnam Veterans. The trail is a commemorative project to remind the public of the sacrifices made by this group of unheralded veterans.

The Florida National Guard will be renaming the parade field in front of historic St. Francis Barracks. Each conflict which Florida Guardsman have served will be memorialized by the placement of a bronze plaque on stanchions that surround the field. Vietnam veterans will be recognized during the ceremony thanking them and their families for their sacrifices during their service. Meets objectives 1,2 and 3.

The Mobile Vietnam Veterans Memorial for the Antelope Valley is a 1/2 scale true replica of the DC Wall. 252 feet in length and engraved with all 58,299 names of those KIA, MIA, and POW, it honors those names on the Wall and Veterans of all ages. It is engraved so that rubbings can be made, and fulfills #s 1-3 for the commemorative objectives

Annual DuPont Veterans Day Observance, Wilmington / Corporate HQ. Individual sites have their own Keynote Speaker: Brigadier General (Ret) Terry L. Wiley, Civilian Aide to the Secretary of the Army for Delaware; Guest Speaker: William F. Weber, Vice President, Kevlar (R) DuPont Protection Technologies; Featuring: Honor Guard, DuPont Choir, Wreath ceremony; John Sagrati-Bagpipes; Tribute to Vietnam War Era Veterans. This is especially targeted to the Vietnam era veterans commemoration as 2014 is the 50th anniversary of the Tonkin Gulf Resolution and the military actions that fall. Last year we had a tribute to all of our Korean War veterans upon the 60th anniversary of the Armistice.

Collected warm clothing (sweatshirts, Socks,fleece pants, scarves,gloves, hats) and food for the VA Clothes Closet and Food Pantry to give to Veterans (many are Vietnam Veterans)in need, both in-patients and out-patients. Many are homeless or living below the poverty line. The VA Social Workers and Volunteer Services Director handle the distribution.

Samuel Johnston Chapter Members are encouraged to knit and crochet warm scarves for the annual "Knit Your Bit" campaign that is sponsored by the National WW 2 Museum in New Orleans. Chapter members donated 24 hand-made scarves which are given to elderly and hospitalized veterans in VA facilities nationwide. Many are veterans of the Vietnam War. This is a year-round project for several of our Chapter members.
