Medina County Vietnam Veteran Paul Kari
became a POW on Father's Day in 1965
when his F-4C Phantom Jet was shot down
and he spent almost eight years in captivity.
Kari's newly publ ished memoir, THE
STRENGTH TO ENDURE recounts his
childhood in Medina County, his training as
a jet fighter pilot in the US Air Force and his
brutal ordeal as a POW where he was
constantly tortured but never gave
information to the enemy.
Paul Kari will be selling and signing his 384
page memoir ($30) at the Medina County
Veterans Memorial Hall, 620 North
Broadway in Medina on Thursday, December
18 from 5:30PM - 8:00PM. Please come and
