To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War and the 40th Anniversary of the Fall of Saigon.

The mission of these events is to reach out to Vietnam Veterans and bring them in to discuss Agent Orange and ways the Veterans Services can support these veterans.

The Vietnam Veterans Commemorative Trail is located in Price County and has 13 markers to represent the 13 years of service and sacrifice of the brothers and sisters in arms. The markers denote events of the war that were deemed important by Vietnam Veterans. The trail is a commemorative project to remind the public of the sacrifices made by this group of unheralded veterans.

these events will inform fellow Vietnam veterans and civilians that it will be 50 years since the start of Vietnam war and that multi events will be held to commemorate that date.

We will be handing out personalized thank you notes from our Chapter with the pin attached. We work closely with a number of Veterans organizations and will be personally thanking Vietnam Veterans for their service.

To honor & thank veterans of the Vietnam War, to honor & thank veteran families, will lay wreaths on 5 graves of veterans in Chowan County killed in Vietnam War

We will be giving personalized certificates and pins to our local Vietnam Vets from our local Chapter

Interview inserts into local papers on Vietnam Veteran interviews.

There are two events. On February 21 we have our chapter meeting at 248 S Ute Avenue. Our program will be given by a Vietnam War Veteran. We expect up to 100 members and guest. On Memorial Day weekend we will be dedicating a Monument/marker for the Vietnam War Veterans and their families at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado. This service that the marker will be dedicated for normally has 1000 plus veterans and guests.

Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans

To thank and honor veterans of the Vietnam War, including personnel who were held as prisoners of war (POW) or listed as missing in action (MIA) for their service and sacrifice on behalf of the United States and to thank and honor the families of these veterans.

1- To Thank and honor Veterans of the Vietnam War, for their service and sacrifices. 2- April 18, 2015-We will present the Patriot Guard Riders with a Community Service Award and honor all the Vietnam Veterans Present. 3-Summer 2015-Brat picnic give-way to Vietnam Veterans to acknowledge and honor their service.

Thank you to all Viet Nam veterans in Delaware and to increase fellowship and recognition of all war veterans of any era. This event is co-hosted by: Greenwood Memorial VFW Post 7478 Delaware Employer Support for the Guard and Reserve

Farmington has over 200 Vietnam veterans living in the community but there is no veterans organization for them to gather and meet. The veterans will be able to to do this when they attend the "Bring your own brown bag" lunches which will be held at the Farmington Town Hall from 11 am to 1 pm the second Wednesday of each month until December 2017. The main focus is to give the veterans a place where they can casually gather and share but a short program will be designed by sometimes inviting guest speakers. The local DAR chapter will present certificates to all Vietnam veterans who attend.

We plan on attending their meeting and honoring the Vietnam Veterans with the certificate and button or pin.

During our annual Fort Scott National Historic Site Civil War Encampment, the commemorative flag shall be displayed, information on the commemoration shall be available, and Vietnam Veterans shall be recognized.

To make veterans and the public aware of the 50th Commemoration of the Vietnam war; handing out information on Vietnam veterans issues, agent orange issues, and health concerns for Vietnam veterans. Tabletop display is held at the VA Hospital the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month for 8 hours per day.

In 2015 The Mercer Girl s will be honoring Vietnam Veterans at two events. Our April Anniversary Luncheon will be our first such event. We have invited 5 Vets to honor with a luncheon and will recognize them with DAR certificates, pins and presidential proclamations.

Set up 50 flags with veterans at each pole. There will be an open house after the event.

This traveling exhibit details the American prisoner of war experience from the Civil War to modern conflicts. It was created by the National Park Service in cooperation with the American Ex-Prisoners of War and the Friends of Andersonville, to give more citizens the opportunity to explore the American POW story. This is truly an appropriate exhibit for the Frontiers of Flight Museum. Since the advent of the use of aircraft as weapons of war, many American POWs have been aircrew members who crash-landed or bailed out behind enemy lines. There is an extensive educational value to this exhibit, especially for younger generations who may not have a good understanding about this facet of America’s armed conflicts. They also may not understand that in this context, the “prisoners” were not criminals, but American heroes who resisted their captors while upholding the U.S. Military Code of Conduct. The lighting in the exhibit is subdued to reflect the gloom of the POW camp environment and the prisoners’ existence. Toward the end of the exhibit, a highlighted “FREEDOM” graphic signals the way to the exit as additional graphics celebrate the POWs’ eventual repatriation. The exhibit includes sections on Capture, Prison Life, Those Who Wait, and Freedom, and displays artifacts and audio-visual interviews from actual prisoners of war which serves as a memorial to all American prisoners of war.

This Vietnam Veterans Welcome Home Ceremony is a joint effort by some of NH Commemorative Partners (NH National Guard, NH Veterans Cemetery, NH State Organization Daughters of the American Revolution, and Exeter, Margery Sullivan and Molly Reid Chapters NSDAR). It will take place at the Pease Air National Guard Base, Newington, NH at 2 PM in the NH Air National Guard's Hanger Bldg 253. All are Welcome. We will be honoring the Vietnam War Veterans who are still with us. We are also recognizing the veterans who were killed in action and one who is missing in action, plus the ones who have died since the war. All will be given certificates and pins. We have a Vietnam War Veterna who will give a moving speech.

To honor Chapter VVA members and ARVN Veterans that live in the Quad City area.

To acknowledge as many Veterans as possible for their services and support of the USA.

Honor Vietnam Veterans in formal ceremonies across the State. The first session will honor the State's Adjutant General, MGen Daryll Wong. Requesting 50 lapel pins.

Program and Reception to thank and honor Vietnam and other veterans and their families.

Annual "Project Healing Waters" event hosted by Bellevue/Issaquah's chapter of Trout Unlimited. Project Healing Waters is dedicated to the physical and emotional rehabilitation of disabled active military service personnel and veterans through fly-fishing and fly-tying education and outings.

Quilt making for Vietnam vets in the community including the name and date of service on each one. Then, invited the veteran to a luncheon to present to them with a certificate. This is ongoing.

Participated in the Patriot's Day Parade by carrying the Vietnam veterans flag with another affiliated chapter. Co-hosted by: Fort Frederica Chapter of the NSDAR St. Andrew's Parish Chapter, NSDAR

Six Members of the Capital District of NY AUSA Chapter took part in "The Vietnam in America Memory Course" conducted by Professor Dave Kieran at Skidmore College. A display honoring Vietnam veterans will be made at the New York State Military Museum and Veterans Research Center.

Display at the Valley County Historical Museum and mementos were passed out.

Display at the Dawson County Historical Society.

The West Texas Collection display included a panel discussion and reception. The display ran from November 17, 2014 through July 31, 2015.

Chapter daughters prepared a display at the Heard County Museum featuring local Heard County Veterans' pictures and service information, the Commission Flag, 50th Anniversary information and a big note of Appreciation for all. The display was to be up from April thru September. Notices of the display and invitations to the public to visit were printed in the local newspaper.

Lt. Colonel Jerry Ericsson (Ret) spoke at Star of Destiny, NSDAR to relay his experiences as a decorated helicopter pilot in Vietnam and how the war forged the future of his life. As a tribute to him, Star of Destiny has purchased an engraved brick in Lt. Col. Ericsson's name and it has been placed in the Vietnam section of the Veteran's War Memorial, Plaza of Liberty in McAllen, Texas

Our DAR chapter's Historic Preservation is collecting questionnaires regarding Vietnam Veterans experiences. This is an ongoing project and will conclude in March 2016. These questionnaires will be converted into a narrative form and compiled for the Katy Library.

The Lapeer County Committee members proposed to the county newspaper that they run an interview of a Vietnam Veteran once a month for the three years of the National Commemoration. The Lapeer County Press agreed and has run full page up to 1 1/4 pages of individual interviews of Lapeer County Vietnam Veterans. The articles have been very educational and have given a very real picture of the war from our heroes eyes. This publication covers more than Lapeer County. Public publication 2015-2018 Anticipated attendance is a guess as I don't know the county distribution hard copy and internet.
