The mission of these events is to reach out to Vietnam Veterans and bring them in to discuss Agent Orange and ways the Veterans Services can support these veterans.

The Vietnam Veterans Commemorative Trail is located in Price County and has 13 markers to represent the 13 years of service and sacrifice of the brothers and sisters in arms. The markers denote events of the war that were deemed important by Vietnam Veterans. The trail is a commemorative project to remind the public of the sacrifices made by this group of unheralded veterans.

The 16th Infantry Regiment Association Memorial Project commemorates the Regiment’s participation in the Vietnam War, 1965-70. The memorial will be dedicated on 14 July 2015 at Fort Riley, Kansas, as an official Department of Defense, 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War Commemorative Event. We anticipate support by the 1st Infantry Division and the two active battalionbs of the 16th Infantry at Fort Riley. We also anticipate that about 50-60 Vietnam Veterans from the regiment will attend along with family members.

these events will inform fellow Vietnam veterans and civilians that it will be 50 years since the start of Vietnam war and that multi events will be held to commemorate that date.

We will be handing out personalized thank you notes from our Chapter with the pin attached. We work closely with a number of Veterans organizations and will be personally thanking Vietnam Veterans for their service.

To honor & thank veterans of the Vietnam War, to honor & thank veteran families, will lay wreaths on 5 graves of veterans in Chowan County killed in Vietnam War

We will be giving personalized certificates and pins to our local Vietnam Vets from our local Chapter

There are two events. On February 21 we have our chapter meeting at 248 S Ute Avenue. Our program will be given by a Vietnam War Veteran. We expect up to 100 members and guest. On Memorial Day weekend we will be dedicating a Monument/marker for the Vietnam War Veterans and their families at the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado. This service that the marker will be dedicated for normally has 1000 plus veterans and guests.

To thank and honor Veterans from the Vietnam War and highlight the services of the Armed Forces.

Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans

This is the Annual Meeting of the Ohio Society Sons of the American Revolution. We will have a manned table during registration and meeting to present the commemoration purpose and distribute the materials.

1- To Thank and honor Veterans of the Vietnam War, for their service and sacrifices. 2- April 18, 2015-We will present the Patriot Guard Riders with a Community Service Award and honor all the Vietnam Veterans Present. 3-Summer 2015-Brat picnic give-way to Vietnam Veterans to acknowledge and honor their service.

16 May 2015-DAR meeting and Presentation of Vietnam Commemorative Certificates and Pins to our Chapter DAR Veterans/Family. Elementary School-Wounded Warrior 5K run. The students make Thank You cards and hand them out to Veterans. With materals we will be able to raise awareness of the 50th anniversary of the Vietnam War and recognize those that served.

Farmington has over 200 Vietnam veterans living in the community but there is no veterans organization for them to gather and meet. The veterans will be able to to do this when they attend the "Bring your own brown bag" lunches which will be held at the Farmington Town Hall from 11 am to 1 pm the second Wednesday of each month until December 2017. The main focus is to give the veterans a place where they can casually gather and share but a short program will be designed by sometimes inviting guest speakers. The local DAR chapter will present certificates to all Vietnam veterans who attend.

A weekend of ceremonies to honor Vietnam Veterans and those who died.

We plan on attending their meeting and honoring the Vietnam Veterans with the certificate and button or pin.

To make veterans and the public aware of the 50th Commemoration of the Vietnam war; handing out information on Vietnam veterans issues, agent orange issues, and health concerns for Vietnam veterans. Tabletop display is held at the VA Hospital the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month for 8 hours per day.

This will be the second year in a row that our chapter has been requested to be a part of this special Kansas City event. We'll be displaying our Vietnam 970 Huey Helicopter and this year adding our 50th commemorative display to honor our Vietnam brothers and sisters. There will be many military groups, 911 Never Forget Mobile Museum, Truman Heritage Parade, Collector's Show, and school field trips.

Meets Commemoration Objective 1. Vietnam Veterans and the men who sacrificed their life will be honored by a wreath-laying ceremony. Program opening by Regent, Henrietta Acton (reading of Billy Graham letter), prayer, a high school student will sing a patriotic song, the Berkeley High School AFROTC will provide color guard, names of those who lost their life will be read aloud with the ringing of a bell between each name. Family members of those who lost a loved one will be honored. Closing remarks will again thank them for their service and sacrifice.

The Wall That Heals will be the centerpiece of the 40th anniversary celebration of Operation Frequent Wind on the USS Midway Museum for 10 days of events and activities dedicated to honoring and remembering veterans

Set up 50 flags with veterans at each pole. There will be an open house after the event.

This traveling exhibit details the American prisoner of war experience from the Civil War to modern conflicts. It was created by the National Park Service in cooperation with the American Ex-Prisoners of War and the Friends of Andersonville, to give more citizens the opportunity to explore the American POW story. This is truly an appropriate exhibit for the Frontiers of Flight Museum. Since the advent of the use of aircraft as weapons of war, many American POWs have been aircrew members who crash-landed or bailed out behind enemy lines. There is an extensive educational value to this exhibit, especially for younger generations who may not have a good understanding about this facet of America’s armed conflicts. They also may not understand that in this context, the “prisoners” were not criminals, but American heroes who resisted their captors while upholding the U.S. Military Code of Conduct. The lighting in the exhibit is subdued to reflect the gloom of the POW camp environment and the prisoners’ existence. Toward the end of the exhibit, a highlighted “FREEDOM” graphic signals the way to the exit as additional graphics celebrate the POWs’ eventual repatriation. The exhibit includes sections on Capture, Prison Life, Those Who Wait, and Freedom, and displays artifacts and audio-visual interviews from actual prisoners of war which serves as a memorial to all American prisoners of war.

We will be honoring the Vietnam War Veterans who are still with us. We are also recognizing the veterans who were killed in action and one who is missing in action, plus the ones who have died since the war. All will be given certificates and pins. We have a Vietnam War Veterna who will give a moving speech.

Can you add sending 1 set of posters (every one of them). This is for an exhibit he is doing in San Diego that will go till 2017, so I think based on what he’s doing, we can send 1 of everything. Opening ceremony of new permanent exhibit on the Vietnam Experience on the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War. Exhibits, displays, timelines, oral histories, and personal stories tell the experiences of San Diegans in the Vietnam War on 4/30/2015. Exhibit opens to public on May 1st, 2015.

Commemorate Armed Forces Day, Honor our Veterans.

The New York National Guard's Military History Museum partners with Skidmore College to open a new exhibit May 1 honoring the service of the Capital Region's Vietnam Veterans. Students from the Skidmore College History course, "The Vietnam War in American Memory," taught by Professor David Kieran, gathered the oral histories of 11 Vietnam era-veterans from Saratoga Springs. A joint effort between the students and the NYS Military Museum and Veterans Research Center will be featured in a new public exhibit through November 2015 as part of Department Skidmore students learning about the Vietnam War in Professor Kieran's course sought out 11 area veterans and completed individual oral history assignments to learn more about Vietnam Veterans' diverse experiences. Through collaboration with Courtney Burns, Military History Director and curator of the NYS Military museum, a collection of the students' work, including veteran artifacts from Vietnam and materials that document their experiences, will be exhibited at the museum. The nation marked the start of the 50th Anniversary of the Vietnam War in 2012 and New York State, the New York National Guard, the City of Saratoga Springs and the Military Museum are all Commemorative Partners with the Department of Defense to honor the service of Vietnam Veterans and their families. Events hosted at the museum are intended to thank and honor veterans of the Vietnam War for their service and sacrifice on behalf of the United States and to thank and honor the families of these veterans. The exhibit featuring the Vietnam Veterans experience and their oral histories will be on display at the museum through Veterans Day 2015.

Moving Wall will be in place April 30- May 4 to honor the fallen Vietnam Veterans and to commemorate the service of those who served.

Quilt making for Vietnam vets in the community including the name and date of service on each one. Then, invited the veteran to a luncheon to present to them with a certificate. This is ongoing.

To honor the Vietnam War Veterans who currently reside in Cheyenne County with a DAR Certificate recognizing their valor, service, and sacrifice, the Presidential Proclamation, brochures, pins, and other items.

24 Square Feet of window was decorated using brochures, fact sheets, maps, books, patriotic decorations, signage thanking our Vietnam Veteran's for their service. The display stood for 45 days.

Display packet was used to make a display at the Millbrook Library and was up for 6 weeks. The Director said it was enjoyed by all and many veterans came to see and talk about it.

The West Texas Collection display included a panel discussion and reception. The display ran from November 17, 2014 through July 31, 2015.

Chapter daughters prepared a display at the Heard County Museum featuring local Heard County Veterans' pictures and service information, the Commission Flag, 50th Anniversary information and a big note of Appreciation for all. The display was to be up from April thru September. Notices of the display and invitations to the public to visit were printed in the local newspaper.

We invited a Vietnam Veteran to be our guest at the Opening night of the Georgia Society Daughters of the American Revolution 2015 State Conference. That night was the night dedicated to honoring our Veterans, especially those from Vietnam.

Lt. Colonel Jerry Ericsson (Ret) spoke at Star of Destiny, NSDAR to relay his experiences as a decorated helicopter pilot in Vietnam and how the war forged the future of his life. As a tribute to him, Star of Destiny has purchased an engraved brick in Lt. Col. Ericsson's name and it has been placed in the Vietnam section of the Veteran's War Memorial, Plaza of Liberty in McAllen, Texas

We wanted to recognize local Vietnam Veterans and their families with a thank you for your service and sacrifice that you gave for our country. A speech was given focusing on objective #1. Karen Ghighi then presented a DAR Roster Book dedicated to the Vietnam Veterans to the American legion Post 100 and asked that the veterans look through the book to identify any missing names. Karen presented a poster of the Vietnam Commemoration to the American Legion for their wall. Linda Lee then explained that the book will be updated in April and she provided a sheet for the American Legion to fill out for missing names or any photos they want added to the next update for the book. We gave the Vietnam Veterans a special commemorative pin and all the other veterans another pin. Although this was a small event in a small community, we were welcomed and applauded at the end. It was a very heartwarming experience to be able to thank these veterans and their families.

Our DAR chapter's Historic Preservation is collecting questionnaires regarding Vietnam Veterans experiences. This is an ongoing project and will conclude in March 2016. These questionnaires will be converted into a narrative form and compiled for the Katy Library.

The Lapeer County Committee members proposed to the county newspaper that they run an interview of a Vietnam Veteran once a month for the three years of the National Commemoration. The Lapeer County Press agreed and has run full page up to 1 1/4 pages of individual interviews of Lapeer County Vietnam Veterans. The articles have been very educational and have given a very real picture of the war from our heroes eyes. This publication covers more than Lapeer County. Public publication 2015-2018 Anticipated attendance is a guess as I don't know the county distribution hard copy and internet.

The chapter compiled the Illinois Vietnam War Era Honor Roster Volume II to honor these veterans. This book lists Illinois Vietnam veterans and include name, rank, branch of service, service years, and identifies if they veteran was a war veteran or era veteran.
