Fort Worth Aviation Museum's mission: Giving wings to youth and community through our aviation roots. Hops and Props is the museum's annual spring event to give our community an opportunity to enjoy airplanes, local craft brewers, food, live music, refreshments, vendors, veterans service organizations, children's activities, museum exhibits and more in a family-friendly environment. It also gives participating community groups an opportunity to interact with the community to provide awareness of
their programs and to network with each other. Aviation is a great motivational vehicle for young people to stay in school to achieve their highest potential. This event gives the community an opportunity to learn about various aircraft and talk with aircrew members. As an added attraction, the museum will be dedicating their newly restored General Dynamics F-l 11E Aardvark and Republic f·l05 Thunderchief aircraft. NAS Fort Worth JRB intends to use this activity to recognize local Vietnam War era veterans with a Commemoration pinning ceremony. We anticipate a positive impact for both veterans and families.
