12:00 AM - 12:00 AM
The LANPAC symposium brings Army leaders from units from across the PACOM AOR, CONUS, alongside Allies and partner armies, as well as industry and academia. Veterans make up a large number of the working professionals who attend, who are often too busy to get the DoD lapel pin from the typical veterans organizations events. During the symposium, AUSA leadership, to include GEN Ham, will announce that we are presenting these pins and mementos at the AUSA check-in area, manned by volunteers who make these presentations and photograph the presentation.
Hawaii Chapter of the Association of the United States Army will present these pins at the Association of the United States Army Landpower in the Pacific Symposium (http://ausameetings.org/lanpac2018/)
The MOFW and AUSA have teamed up on several occasions, most recently for the presentation of 5 lapel pins at the Farrington High School JROTC Awards Ceremony, which honored Vietnam Vet alumni of the High School invited to attend the 9 MAY ceremony (AAR pending).
Attendance at this event is about 600. We presented about 20 pins at last year's event. Both organizations are in need of pins for smaller events as well. MOFW is zero balance, and AUSA has only 5 left.
