The Vietnam Veterans Commemorative Trail is located in Price County and has 13 markers to represent the 13 years of service and sacrifice of the brothers and sisters in arms. The markers denote events of the war that were deemed important by Vietnam Veterans. The trail is a commemorative project to remind the public of the sacrifices made by this group of unheralded veterans.

Conducting oral history interviews of Vietnam War veterans. Participants will be presented the DoD Vietnam War Commemorative Lapel Pin. Please contact the museum for more information.

To give all Vietnam Veterans the long overdue welcome home and show them our appreciation and recognition for their service to our country. We want to provide our Vietnam Veterans with a lapel pin and a certificate of their service and sacrifice to show our gratitude.

I present pins to Vietnam Veterans as I meet with them on a one-on-pone basis in my office on a daily basis.

We award Quilts of Valor, certificates and lapel pins to Vietnam Veterans. We award at least 10 Quilts of Valor each year to Vietnam Veterans. ****I am out of lapel pins.

Our VVA Chapter has an Honor Guard . Will be presenting the surviving spouse of a Vietnam Veteran with a lapel pin . This will be an on going program

The purpose of this event is to augment on going Memorial Day Ceremonies with recognition to Vietnam War Veterans and Family Members.

Special ceremony honoring veterans.

Great Lakes National Cemetery inters veterans daily. I wish to present the spouses of our interred Vietnam veterans with a spouse lapel pin and certificate of honor.

These will be individual events for multiple Vietnam veterans. Throughout the year, we care for 20-30 Vietnam veterans. Unfortunately, many of them are bedbound or sick to go to a public event. Our goal is to gather family and friends around the Veteran for an honor ceremony.

To Honor Vietnam Veterans throughout the year at various functions

I presently consult with Stein Hospice in Sandusky Ohio. They are a level 4 member of the VA's Hospice Veteran Partnership. We honor all veterans admitted to Hospice services with a certificate of Appreciation, a Military Service Branch blanket with the appropriate military branch emblem and a Ohio Hospice Veteran Partnership pin. Just today, I honored 3 veterans in their home and all are eligible for the Commemorative Vietnam Veteran Lapel Pin. Stein Hospice has committed to being a corporate sponsor of future Vietnam Veteran Lapel Pin events and welcome the committee additionally honoring Vietnam Veterans with the Commemoration Lapel Pin as well. Most hospice patients survive less than 14 days after admission. This is an important opportunity to honor those Vietnam Veterans before their passing.

Awareness for all about the Vietnam War, educate on benefits, show appreciation and give recognition. Work on rebuilding a relationship with those that have suffered in Vietnam and from the return home. Then work on connecting them to organizations and events. To spread positive information and assistance

Honor and thank Vietnam Veterans for their service to the Nation and the Commonwealth by recognizing their service and sacrifice at ceremonies at the Virginia War Memorial in Richmond.

Salem VAMC has held numerous events and include commemorative pinning at each open house, town hall, special event dates, and individual pinnings by the Director, other Voluntary/Recreation events, VSO and community engagement meetings, etc. Request current Presidential Proclamation signed by President Trump. Number of VE Veterans is estimated and includes 26 county catchment area, primarily rural.

All Materials will be handed out to all Vietnam veterans and there families. The Spouse pins will be given to any and all surving spouses of Vietnam Veterans at the funerals of the Veterans.

Our Chapter is focusing on service to veterans at this time. Each time we meet it seems that another member has met a Vietnam Veteran and wishes she could have honored him with a lapel pin. Some have been family members and some complete strangers. We have several public events in the near future and the Chapter Regent has asked that I request lapel pins so that we can have them available for any Vietnam Veterans who have not already received them. At our last board meeting we were standing in line to purchase lunch when one of us noticed a man wearing a Vietnam Veteran hat. She turned to him and said "Thank you for your service, Sir". He got tears in his eyes and said "No-one has ever said that to me!" When we sat down in the little meeting room to eat and continue our meeting the lady who had talked to him said she wished we had a pin to give him. I dug in my bag and sure enough, the last pin from our previous event was there and she took it and gave it to him. A bit later after he finished his meal he came into our meeting room and said, "Ladies, thank you so very much for the pin, and thank you for the service you are doing for veterans and for our country!" It was very touching for all concerned!

Recognize and honor Vietnam War veterans who have limited mobility on Cape Cod.

To show the Citizens of Calgary and area what we went through while on Duty during the Vietnam War. We also want to find other Vietnam Veterans who need our help. We will have one of the Moving Walls here from 06 to 14 October 2018.

During each of the dinners, in this time period, Vietnam Veterans will be asked to stand to be recognized. Post members will get a brief bio of the vet and move the veteran to the front of the hall. The commander will read the bio and present the pins to the vets and have everyone welcome him home. Vietnam Veterans that have received a pin will be asked to stand and be recognized also.

We pass out pins at all our community events, visiting VA hospitals and Nursing Homes.

The Post actively seeks out Vietnam Veterans and presents them their commemorative lapel pins. On 27 October, at the Fredericksburg, VA Gun show, pins were presented to 15 Vietnam veterans, essentially depleting the Post's stock of pins (others had been distributed earlier). We need to replenish our supply. Since 1 January 2018, Post members have presented 85 lapel pins to eligible Vietnam era veterans or surviving family members.

The purpose of this event is to honor veterans and their families. They will attend out meetings and we will visit those not able to attend.

Objective 1: To recognize Vietnam Veteran survivors (i.e., spouses).

We are changing our existing exhibit on Vietnam and adding Adaptive Surfing along side of the refreshed Vietnam exhibit.

There are many Vietnam veterans receiving medical care. we have the capacity to identify military patients. we screen them to determine eligibility for pinning. we pin the service person at the bedside.

Like to keep some of hand. We see Vietnam Veterans almost everyday. Some are the first time filing claims to the VA.

The radio host will be interviewing myself and my staff discussing the Vietnam Veteran Tribute Truck, the Vietnam War 50th Commemoration, my war poetry and playing my PTSD song. I will be bringing a Vietnam Veteran to pin live during the show. The number in attendance and number of veterans are unknown since the show will be streaming and recorded for later play on You Tube.

Presentation of Presidential proclamations and pins and Certificate of Honor.

We honor Vietnam veterans at every one of our monthly chapter meetings with a 50th Anniversary presentation to those veterans who haven't received recognition. We also make these presentations in conjunction with Agent Orange Town Hall meetings throughout the year. These occur once or twice a year. We also make the presentations at the Portland VA Hospital, where we promote the Agent Orange Town Halls.

Daily pinning Ceremonies of Vietnam Veterans bedside in their homes, hospitals, also in ALF-Assisted Living Facilities and LTC-Long Term Care Facilities.This is ongoing daily event. I have trained 26 Chaplains the Formal way of Pinning Veterans.Our Chaplains are approximately pinning 8-10 veterans a month.There is a major need for widows pins. Unfortunately more than not their will be an increase for widows due to the 320+ Vietnam Veterans dying daily.

Honoring Vietnam Veterans and their families for their service, valor and sacrifice. Specifically individually recognize veteran hospice patients who are unable to attend larger public recognition ceremonies. 14 presentations done in 2018 and 8 done to date in 2019. Anticipate 2019 will exceed 2018 as seeing higher percent of Vietnam Veterans within hospice veteran population. Will provide end up end of year 2019 update with final numbers.

Please see the attached breakdown. We had 57 encounters with small groups or individuals over the past 6 months. We extended the period from March to June because we had supplies on hand. Still a lot of Vietnam Veterans who have not heard of the program. Those we identify are very pleased to receive the recognition.

Honored and thanked hospice patients who are Vietnam War veterans and their families for their service and sacrifice during the Vietnam War era. Patients were all either home or bed bound with limited life expectancy and unable to attend public recognition events. For each patient - played service song, read and presented framed proclamation, presented Vietnam Veteran lapel pin and read fact sheet about design of pin. Saluted Vietnam War Veteran and thanked them for their service to their country and their respective service. For many, this was both the first time they were thanked for their service, for all it was the last as they all passed soon after the recognition. Several of the Vietnam veteran patients were not aware of the event, instead, it was primarily for the families and they were very appreciative. I have seen the Veteran label pin on the deceased at several funeral services and the framed proclamation prominently displayed. I believe the VWC program is a very worthwhile and meaningful program and I know it has made a difference to the Vietnam veterans and families I have had to privilege to recognize and thank.

This was the 6th successful year of the Vietnam War Cadet Essay Contest, which provides Cadets the opportunity to write an essay for publication in one of 3 categories. This year, Cadets from Farrington and Punahou received recognition for their excellent essays. Thanked and honored Vietnam Veterans and their families individually when I came across them (Restaurants and stores). Only 1 Vietnam veteran would accept the DOD lapel pin, related paperwork and supplies. The other Vietnam veterans were appreciative , but didn't want the lapel pin and paperwork.
