The Marine Corps had more F4 Phantom squadrons in service throughout the world during the Vietnam war than any other single type aircraft squadron before or since Vietnam. The 33rd Annual Veterans Day Banquet is scheduled for November 11. There will be a social at 5:30 p.m. and Dinner at 6:30 p.m. at Riverside Casino and Resort located at 3184 Hwy 22 Riverside, IA 52327. There will be a POW/MIA table and recognition of Chalmers W. "Bump" Elliott USMC service and UI athletics career. We will also recognize Guard/Reserve/Cadet of the Year and there will be music by the 34th Army Band

This ceremony will include the dedication of two new pavilions and mosaic maps at the Honolulu Memorial.

Veterans of Vietnam will be issued a special challenge coin, along with materials requested from you especially Proclamation signed by the President Barack Obama. Complimentary Breakfast to all Veterans, Vietnam Veterans will receive extra materials (see above) from 0600hrs to 0900hrs.
