    The Lawton- Fort Sill Community will host events to honor veterans of the Vietnam War on March 29-30, 2013. The celebration is one of an ongoing series of nationwide events that culminate in Washington, DC on November 11, 2025 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the end of the Vietnam War. Veterans of all services and wars, their families and patriotic civilians are invited to attend.

    Synepuxent Post #166 American Legion will hold the 2nd Annual National Welcome Home Vietnam Veterans Day on March 30, 2013. An Open House will be held at the OC American Legion 2308 Philadelphia Ave on this day at 1300hrs til 1600hrs. There will be the POW/MIA Table Presentation at 1500hrs. All Vietnam Era Veterans in the area are invited to attend this Open House for lunch and to greet/meet other Nam Veterans. Last year this event was attended by over 50 Vietnam Veterans.
